Gybe Digital LLC is an independent mobile studio based in Boston, Massachusetts. We make apps for people who spend their time on the water and want decisions backed by data, not just feel.

The team brings together decades of competitive sailing, Massachusetts Maritime Academy alumni who know tides, navigation and seamanship from training and from working at sea, and years of software engineering. We know which numbers matter on the water, and how to get them right from the noisy data a phone produces.

Every product starts as a tool we needed ourselves. We use it on the water, find what's missing, and keep improving it until we'd trust it with our own decisions. Nothing ships until it's ready.

Who is Gybe Digital?

Gybe Digital LLC is an independent mobile studio in Boston, Massachusetts. The team combines decades of competitive sailing, Massachusetts Maritime Academy alumni and years of software engineering. Every app starts as a tool we needed on the water ourselves.

Which apps do you make?

Four so far: Tacktiq, an AI performance coach for racing sailors; RRS Coach, a study companion for the Racing Rules of Sailing 2025–2028; HelmYeah!, USCG Rules of the Road exam prep, now in testing; and Tiderise, tides, wind and waves for any coast, coming soon.

Do I need an account?

Only for Tacktiq, which uses an account so your sessions sync between devices. RRS Coach, HelmYeah! and Tiderise work without signing up for anything.

What happens to my data?

It stays yours. We don't sell it, share it for marketing or show ads against it. Our apps are paid for by the people who use them, so our incentives stay aligned with yours. Details are in each app's policy: Tacktiq, Tiderise, and our website privacy policy.

Which platforms are your apps on?

Tacktiq and RRS Coach are on iOS and Android, and RRS Coach also supports iPad. Tiderise is coming to iPhone and Android, with an Apple Watch app. HelmYeah! is in testing; see helmyeah.app for availability.

How do I get support?

Email support@gybedigital.co with the app name, your device and what happened, and we'll get back to you. Subscriptions and purchases are managed in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
